BMW TourenSport Safari 2010 on Apple Isle

The 2010 BMW TourenSport Safari, from 28 February to 6 March 2010, is set to take in some of Australia's best roads, with Tasmania providing the idyllic environment for lovers of road riding.

Participants will cover an average of 325 kilometres per day over a six day period, incorporating sections of the famed Targa Tasmania.

Commencing and concluding in Devonport, the route will also provide the opportunity to take in some of nature's greatest feats; Cradle Mountain, Nelson Falls, Gordon and Franklin Rivers, Tahune Airwalk, Port Arthur, Freycinet Peninsula, Bay of Fires and the legendary Elephant Pass.

Approximately 300 participants are expected to converge on the Apple Isle for the six day adventure, with many of them having completed multiple BMW Safaris. BMW Motorrad will also welcome many new riders to the fray for whom 2010 will be their very first BMW Safari.

Registrations for the 2010 BMW TS Safari are filling well ahead of time, so all interested participants are encouraged to complete their registration form as soon as possible to secure one of the limited spots still available.

BMW Safaris have been operating for 15 years providing BMW owners with an experience to remember. Whether it is on the dedicated off-road GS Safari or the bitumen based TS Safari, each Safari programme is designed to cater for the needs of all riders - by day and by night.

Those who want to link in with the World Superbike Round at Philip Island on the weekend of 27 and 28 February can do so, as the ferry to Devonport booked for Safari participants departs from Melbourne late evening on Sunday 28 February.
