How do I login?

The new security framework at the core of this web site is very sophisticated, and the method of connecting to your existing account, although essentially the same as before, requires that all passwords be reset. The main reason for this is to keep your password secure. Even administrators will not know your password as it is strongly encrypted, so please do not ask us for your password.

The accompanying procedure needs to be followed to reconnect to your existing BMWMCQ account or recover your username/password. Before you begin, if you do not have an email address, or you prefer not to give one, then you need to contact BMWMCQ WEB ADMIN. The telephone number is under the SUPPORT menu.

The MEMBER LOGIN section in the left-hand panel of the home page is where you will initiate this process. CLICK on FORGOT YOUR LOGIN? and you will be presented with the following form in the site's main window after checking LOST PASSWORD.



NOTE: Your Username should be your firstnamelastname in lowercase with no spaces or punctuation. Some senior member's user names have been retained if possible, although there is no guarantee.

Start by entering your username. A system check will be performed automatically, and if your username is valid you will receive the following positive response in green.



At this point you should enter your email address and click SEND PASSWORD. If the email address is correct for the username you will receive a SUCCESS message (see below) and your new password will be sent to your mailbox. You should be good-to-go and now able to login using the password in the email.

If the email address is not on file for the username then the following type message will be returned...



You need to contact BMWMCQ WEB ADMIN via the SUPPORT menu at the top of the web page to correct the issue.

PLEASE NOTE: Nearly half of our members do not have valid email addresses so this will be a common failure. When you contact WEB ADMIN it will save time if you supply your; full name, address, membership expiry date, and member number. To assist you in this regard a list of usernames with unknown email addresses are available under the HELP menu.



When you enter your username you may get the following type response...


 


If you are sure you should be in the member database then you will have to complete the recovery process in two stages; recover username and then password. Uncheck LOST PASSWORD and CHECK LOST USERNAME as per below...


 


Enter your email address and CLICK SEND USERNAME/PASSWORD. If you receive a SUCCESS message your username will be sent to your mailbox. Once you know your username, return to the site and repeat the process for the LOST PASSWORD. You should now be good-to-go, and able to login normally.

IMPORTANT: Once you have your correct details, you can login and then go to MY DETAILS in the left-hand MEMBER MENU, then go to the top left of the window and CLICK on EDIT to personalise your profile details. Use the TABS at the bottom of the window to change CONTACT INFO and MEMBER DETAILS.


 


When you login you may receive the following message...



... If you believe the message is in error, then please contact the RECORDS person by sending an email via the COMMITTEE menu at the top of the web page. When you contact RECORDS it will save time if you supply your; full name, address, membership expiry date, and member number. We have taken every precaution to prevent this from happening, but mistakes can occur, so please be patient.

If the above message is correct and your account has indeed expired (and you want to renew via the WEB), then simply click on REACTIVATE and follow the payment process. If you do not want to use the web to renew your membership, then go to the DOWNLOADS menu and select the Club Membership form. Print the form, complete, and send in to the address on the form with your payment.
